Monograms
MONOGRAM IT!
When you monogram it you make a nice gift an incredible one! Everybody likes to see their name in print, especially when it's on a thoughtful gift. And sometimes it's even more practical like the hand held electronic game shown above - monogramming your child's electronics so everybody knows which one is theirs! There are still a few days left to get your gifts monogrammed with vinyl decals before Christmas. Don't let time run out!

The Stockings Were Hung....
Well, it's that magical time of the year again! Are you ready?!?!
This is a really neat thing to do with vinyl - make your own stocking hanger! This customer ordered the vinyl and added it to her own prepainted board and then finished with old fashioned looking masonry nails to make this darling stocking hanger for her home. Remember, vinyl will stick to any smooth surface including painted boards. The possibilities for custom signs are endless! Plan ahead for the holidays and place your orders today.
Canister Labels
CANISTER LABELS: Here are some cute canister labels I made for a customer recently. (Thanks for the photos Erin!) She ordered the vinyl and did the rest herself. Remember vinyl will stick to just about any smooth surface. When using them in an application like this you just have to remember that you cannot put them in the dishwasher. Hand wash in cold water only to keep them looking new.

More great gifts!! This tile was made as a housewarming gift. There is just no limit to the amazing things you can create with custom cut vinyl! Here it is applied to a tile to make it look like it's engraved. It looks amazing but at a fraction of the price of an engraved piece! Tiles are only $15 right now so if you need a gift for a summer wedding or ANY occasion at all, give me a call! =)

This tile is done in 2 colors of vinyl, the black with a pretty matte gold in the background. The possibilities are endless!

Monograms on Tile
Finally a photo of the last name monogram on tile!
These custom monograms are done in black vinyl
and then applied to a stone tile for display. These look great in an easel on a shelf, entry table, kitchen counter, or even hung on the wall with a plate hanger. These make wonderful gifts for any occasion. The 12x12 tiles are $15 or you can purchase just the vinyl lettering for $6 and apply it to any tile you choose.
These can also be done in 6x6 for $7 and make great neighbor gifts, etc.
What's in a name...
A custom monogram is one of many things in a name...
Like this one that I made as a wedding gift for my darling niece Alley and her fiance Ryan. This particular monogram is a combination of their first initials - A and R - with his (and soon to be hers!) last initial - B - in the middle. I love this type of wedding monogram because it brings the two first initials together with the last one.
I applied this vinyl lettering to a large pillar candle and made a wonderful gift that is uniquely theirs. Yet another fun thing you can do with vinyl lettering!

Really great Teacher gift!
I have been making a lot of these really beautiful monograms as Mother's Day gifts by they also make excellent teacher gifts!
These are done in black vinyl on a 12x12 stone tile. You can then display them in an easel, plate rack, or even hang them on the wall with a plate hanger! A very versatile custom gift that anyone would LOVE to receive! I'll post some photos of these made up on the tile...as soon as I finish making up all of these orders! Thanks for keeping me busy.

Mother's Day
A teacher at my sons' school asked me to make a tile with this quote for her as a Mother's Day gift

There's a Wolf at the door...
Actually, he's ON the door of the River Trail Middle School PTA office. Thanks to tireless PTA co-presidents Kelly & Sandi for hiring me to do this fun vinyl for the door of the PTA office. The main office was jealous so they are getting one next!
There are just endless amounts of cool things you can do with vinyl. I am working on thinking up new ones everyday so check back often for new stuff!

A favor...
Evan celebrated his 14th birthday over the weekend. I made these vinyls as party favors for his friends. The boys got their name in the ESPN style font in navy blue vinyl. The girls got thier name with a hibiscus flower in the hot pink vinyl. It's definitely something different that they haven't gotten before! They all loved them and were trying to decide where they were going to put them when they got home.

One Shoe can change your life...
"One she can change your life." ~ Cinderella
As a collector of shoes, and one who hopes, I love this quote! This cute little shoe collection belongs to Erin Glines and the quote goes perfectly with it. Erin painted the board and then applied the vinyl and it looks great! I loved it so much I had to share. Just another fun thing you can do with your vinyl. CUTE stuff Erin! Thanks for sharing!

Don’t marry the person you think you can live with; marry the one individual you think you can’t live without. ~ Dr. James C. Dobson
I have been searching for great quotes to put on my wall and came across this one. I am going to make this one up and put it on the wall with our wedding photos. I really liked this advice and want our children to remember it. But not to apply it for a LONG time. A REALLY long time! But very good advice to store away for the DISTANT future. =)

Young Women's Craft Projects
Today I have been working on some ideas for the Young Women to do at camp this summer. These are a couple of design ideas that will be 6x6 and can either be put on tiles or glass blocks. The glass blocks are great because you can put lights in them, tie ribbons around them, etc. Tiles are fun to display anywhere or even hang them on the wall. Hope this give you some good ideas, too!

Bloom where you are planted.
This is my quote for the day. It is a rainy spring day and there are many more to come this week! So that had me thinking about my flowers and that I am glad to have been in Atlanta long enough to actually see my little collection of bulbs blossom again this year. I keep adding to them and am always glad to see them again. This summer will mark our 4th year here - a record in the history of Jensens! We have done a lot of uprooting and replating in our lives, but we have always made the best of it and tried to "Bloom" wherever we were. Hope you can, too!

I have been creating some things on canvas board this week. This is the Young Women's theme for 2009 in cream vinyl on a chocolate brown background. The canvas boards are great because they are light weight, thin and available in a variety of sizes. They other great thing is that you can pain the background any color and then use the vinyl color of your choice for a truly custom piece. The vinyl on here is permanantly fixed with a top coat so it should hold up for years to come!

Cherish the little things...for tomorrow they'll be bigger than you!!!
Cherish the little things....
I decided to get crafty yesterday and make a photo collage of my boys when they were smaller. I miss those days and I love these pictures of my little guys - who are now threating to outgrow me (AND their Dad!) So I put together these photos with the vinyl lettering above and blow the frame. The frame is about 4 feet tall and I couldn't get a good picture of the whole thing with my dinky little camera so I posted it in 2 parts, but you get the idea.

One of my dear friends (who shall remain nameless ;) loves the idea of vinyl but says she couldn't come up with anything witty to say because, "my internal monologue is usually full of swear words and "D'OH" (a la "Simpsons")". Which I am still laughing at because it hits a little too close to home, if you know what I mean! So I thought I would post a few fun quotes here and there just to give you some ideas. I have a lot of these already made up into designs so if there is something you'd like to see done up, let me know.
For lack of a better starting place...here are some from the A's...
A clean house is a sign of a misspent life
A joyful spirit is evidence of a grateful heart.
A person’s true character is revealed by what they do when no one is watching.
A dream is a wish your hearts makes.
A wee bit of heaven drifted down from above.
A bundle of joy...our little boy.
Always kiss me goodnight
All it takes is faith and trust and a little bit of fairy dust.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord -Joshua 24:15

Here is one of the designs that I have in progress for her....
Cyndi and I used to work together, then we became unemployed together! I have known her since I moved to Georgia almost 4 years ago. She moved here from Utah at the same time we did. She is incredibly talented and makes really neat jewelry and does the most amazing floral designs. She also decided to start her own business doing floral arrangements and weddings so if you need flowers for anything, let me know and I'll put you in contact with her. She is truly amazing!

Introducing...Bella Vinyl Decor!
Well, I have finally done it! I am starting a blog to share with you my adventures in vinyl. And when I tell you that you go...vinyl, huh?! What are you doing?! So I thought I would start this blog to share with you my new designs and ideas as I put them together so you'll know what I'm talking about.
I have started doing custom cut adhesive vinyl lettering and decor that you can put on your walls (or just about any other smooth surface.) I can custom design any quote, phrase, family name etc. and then you can apply it to your wall and it looks like hand painted lettering right on your wall! And the best part is when you want to change it all you have to do is peel it off and start over! Once you remove it, it cannot be reused. But it will not harm the paint - perfect for rental homes where you can't make holes in the wall! (Or people like me who move - a lot!) Also great for kids rooms - as they change their favorite color, sport, etc. you can simply take down the vinyl and do a new one - no need to repaint! Great for any space because it's only as permanent as you want it to be.
This one is in the foyer of our home. It is in chocalate brown vinyl in the Cezanne font.
FUN STUFF! I can't wait to share more ideas and designs with you. If you have any questions, be sure to let me know. And thanks for taking a look! =) Rita
